“According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith; That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.”

Philippians 1:20-26 KJV

There is a life beyond this life, but revelation, given to us in God’s Word, makes us sure. For the Christian, death is but the entrance into a higher, fuller, better life. God’s way is always best! He knows, He loves, He cares, and He always gives the very best to His children. We shall go to be “with Christ, which is better by far in God’s time, not a moment before and not a moment after. One of the most fascinating stories in the Bible is about a man named Enoch. The Bible says, “And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:” Genesis 5:22 KJV  In this verse “Walked with God,” means that Enoch listened to God, talked with God, and obeyed God. Enoch enjoyed a special relationship with God because he devoted his entire life to faithfully serving God. When Enoch was 365 years old, God did something very unusual. God decided that it was time for Enoch to leave the Earth and go to heaven. So He took Enoch to heaven without Enoch even having to die. In this verse, “And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.” Genesis 5:24 KJV  What does the Bible mean by the phrase, “Enoch was not, for God took him”? You will have to go to Hebrews to get the answer for this. It says, “By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.” Hebrews 11:5 KJV  God took Enoch away to heaven without him having to die. It is interesting to note that there is only one other person mentioned in the Bible who got to go to heaven without dying. That was the prophet Elijah. The account of Elijah getting to go to heaven is found in 2 Kings. It says, “And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.” 2 Kings 2:11 KJV  Why did God take Enoch and Elijah? The Bible does not specifically give us the answer. Some speculate that they were taken in preparation for a role in the end times, possibly as the two witnesses during the tribulation period. The Bible says, “And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.” Revelation 11:3 KJV  This is possible, but not explicitly taught in the Bible. It may be that God desired to save Enoch and Elijah from experiencing death due to their great faithfulness in serving and obeying Him. Whatever the case, God has His purpose, and while we don’t always understand God’s plans and purposes, we know that “His way is perfect.” Like the Bible says, “As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.” Psalms 18:30 KJV  Elijah knew that shortly the Lord would take him. As we grow older we must realize that our time on earth is getting shorter. Also, by the law of averages, some of us who are still comparatively young and energetic may soon have to leave this earth. Yet others among God’s people know that their days are numbered because of bodily sickness or rapidly failing powers. We must first put our whole trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and in His precious blood. The Bible says, “To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;” Ephesians 1:6-7 KJV  Today, we listen to God by studying His Word. And we talk to Him in prayer. If we want to “walk with God” like Enoch did, we have to make correct choices based on what we learn from God’s Word. Enoch made good choices based upon what he had learned from God. God wants us to love Him and do what is right, too, just like Enoch. And He has promised that if we will do what is right, He will give us a home in heaven. Won’t it be nice to get to go to heaven? Have you ever wondered what heaven will be like? God’s Word tells us that heaven is a beautiful, peaceful place. But it also is the place where the souls of all the righteous people who have ever lived will be one day. In heaven, there will be no more sadness, sickness, pain, or death. Nothing bad will ever happen in heaven. Everyone in heaven will be happy because they are with God, and because they will always be with God. Jesus said that He was going back to heaven to get things ready for us. In the Bible it says, “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” John 14:2 KJV  Isn’t it exciting to think about how God has provided a perfect home in heaven for us? I get goose bumps just thinking about how wonderful heaven will be. I can’t wait to get there!  There is One who is never wrong and who will never lead us astray, our Lord Jesus. To walk with God, we need to keep in step and trust His guidance, because it’s not just the destination that’s important, but the journey we take together. There’s no better time than now to begin walking with God, so why not put your Trust and Faith in Jesus Christ because He is the One that died on the cross and paid the penalty for you sins so you could have the free gift of eternal life. Amen

I’m new here, but I’m really into this sort of thing, and I like to help people understand what is truly going on,l and how you can prepare for it.

I came across this site last week, and I think you could all benefit from it.

Anyway, mods, if this in in the wrong section, please move it, or, if you must, delete it. I think that this info needs to be out there though.

I hope some of you find this helpful. Good luck, and god bless you
